Thoughts of Easter bring to mind the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.  This year our offering goal is $3,000.00.  We thank you for your monetary gifts that are used to help spread the Good News of Christ throughout North America.

It is such a blessing to participate in the “Martha Ministry” which gives us an opportunity to visit with our shut-ins.  Our Baptist Women enjoyed their recent visits with Marie

Childress, Ray Taylor and Audie and Lathan Keatts, all residents of Rose Ella Village.  On the day of our visit Lathan and Audie were preparing to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family members.

Congratulations on 50 golden years!

The Stewart County Baptist Association sponsored the 5th annual Missions Fair on Sunday, March 20th at the FBC Family Life Center.  This was a celebration of mission projects from the International Missions Field and the North American Mission Board as well as in Stewart County.  We appreciate Bro. William Gray, Director of Missions for Stewart County, and Jo Lewis for coordinating this worthwhile event.  Bro. Gray and Jo are  pictured below..

A big thanks to our Baptist women for providing snacks for the ongoing Anglin Funeral Home Ministry.  A Bible verse is attached to each snack to serve as a comfort and a reminder that Jesus is always with us.  Pictured below are members of the Naomi Sunday School class holding a basket filled with snacks that have been prepared for this ministry.

Our youth are once again planning to visit the “Boys Ranch” in Memphis this summer and would like our help in collecting paper products for use at the ranch.  A box will be provided for these items: Kleenex, paper towels, toilet tissue, paper plates, and napkins.  Thank you in advance for your donations and your willingness to help others.

We appreciate our missions leaders and groups in planning an updated WMU brochure, power-point presentation, and “Missions Night”.  The goal of this endeavor is to communicate the missions outreach efforts to share God’s love that are being made by FBC.  We hope that YOU will want to join us in doing our part to reach the world for Christ!

It is with deepest appreciation that we express our thanks to you for continuing to support each endeavor through prayer and giving.  May God bless you as you have blessed others through WMU sponsored events and activities. Together we are making a difference in our community, our state, and around the world.

WMU Watchword for 2011 ~ “unhindered!”

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”  (Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV)

“Lord, make me a reflection of You.”
