Enjoy the Journey

Dear Church Family,

God is great!

He is always at work in the hearts of people and He loves distributing His wonderful grace and mercy. God the Father loves you very much and He wants you to enjoy life. He cares for you, and He wants the very best for you and your family. You see, that is why God sent His only begotten Son into this world, to give people life...eternal life. I pray you are enjoying your life in Jesus. I know I am.

God is great! Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). The word “abundantly” Greek (perissos, per-is-sos’) means: “superabundant in quantity or superior in quality, beyond measure.”

A.W. Tozer wrote, “To the frightened, God is friendly; to the poor in spirit, He is forgiving; to the ignorant, considerate; to the weak, gentle; to the stranger, hospitable.”

O how I pray you will embrace God’s goodness and just enjoy the life He gives!

God is great! August is now behind us and September is before us. There is much to do and I hope you will find your special places in ministry and serve God wholeheartedly.

As I look at the calendar I noticed that on September 7, 2010, just a few weeks away, I will have been your pastor for one year. Time sure does fly when you’re having fun. Denise and I are looking forward to the second year with FBC and we expect great things from you and from the Lord. We have a great church, a great fellowship, and above all, we have great opportunities. Let’s give God our very best! Let’s celebrate and enjoy the Lord together! We can do all kinds of things in Jesus, who provides us with His supernatural strength.  We love you all very much!

May God bless you all,

 Bro. George
