Church-Wide Visitation - Come on out and be part of our church-wide visitation.  This is a great opportunity to invite others to church as well as share with them what Christ is doing in your life.  Visitation will be held twice each month on Tuesday evenings.  May visitation is scheduled for May 6th and May 20th at 6:30pm.

Fellowship Supper & Business Mtg. - The regular monthly supper and meeting will be held Wednesday, May 14th at the FLC, beginning at 6:00pm.

Eagle Fest Weekend - The second annual Stewart County "Eagle Fest" will be held during the Memorial Day weekend of May 24-25th.  Activities will begin at 8:00am Saturday, May 24th with the Soaring Eagle Race, a 5K run/walk at the City Park.  Official opening ceremony will be at 10:00am in downtown Dover.  Everyone is invited to enjoy a variety of activities including local music, a car show, arts/crafts exhibits, food concessions, activities for children, beauty pageant, street dance, fireworks display, a children's parade and lots of other fun and meaningful activities.  Don't miss Eagle Fest 2008!

Attention Youth - Plans are being made for our senior recognition service for those graduating this year.  We need your pictures!!!  Please bring in your graduation photo as well as a couple of childhood pictures.  You may give them to Am Ross or bring them by the church office.  Pictures will be returned.  Thanks for your assistance.

Children's Patriotic Program - The children's choir rehearsed each Wednesday night and will be presenting "Salute to America" on June 25th during the evening service.  The musical will include God Bless America, God Bless the USA and You're a Grand Ole Flag.  It will also include special appearances by such historical figures as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.  Parents, please allow your children to participate in this program and mark your calendars for June 25th.

Children's Back-Pack Project - The Stewart Co. school system implements a backpack food program which is currently serving 21 children.  The approximate cost of one backpack per child per weekend is $7-$8.  This program is available only during the school year.  First Baptist Church would like to continue the backpack program by providing food for these children, twice in June and twice in July.  If you would like to participate by helping to purchase the food for these summer months, please give donations to Judy Cherry or Dixie Jobe.  Dixie is the treasurer of the Ruth S.S. class, and you may leave your donations at the F&M drive-through window if that would be more convenient.  If you have questions, please see Judy Cherry.

Angel Food - Orders Due May 17th and pick up is May 31st.
